During a winter morning dog walk, I looked up and saw the crescent moon, accompanied by two bright stars. I watched the sky shift during the half-hour that we walked. It was subtle. Their movement almost imperceptible. I caught only a short segment of their gentle arc across the sky. But it grabbed me.
I spent the rest of the morning putting together this animation, and stretching my skill set. Later, posted it to Instagram where it was liked by twelve people and viewed 51 times. Not exactly an #internetsensation, but I try to remember that art is richest in the making.
A year later, while out walking Baxter again, I saw my animation play out in real life.
